Board of Elections Financial Disclosure

The Libertarian Club of New York files periodic financial disclosure reports (the online equivalent of a CF-01 form) with the New York State Board of Elections. They can be viewed online at the NYSBOE website. We are required to disclose contributions of more than $99, aggregate total over the course of an election cycle (see New York State Election Law §14-102 (1)). As a political club, the calendar year is our election cycle. A husband and wife can give up to $99 each without having their names disclosed, but they must write two separate checks, even if the two checks are drawn on the same account.

We are aware that some political organizations disclose all donors. We believe that you have a legitimate expectation of privacy and we will not disclose donations of less than the legally mandated $99.01 per election cycle.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have about campaign finance. It is a complex and arcane subject, full of picayune technicalities. You can also consult the New York State Board of Elections website.

When considering a donation to any political organization, federal, state or local, we advise you to check their online financial disclosure statements first.
